From August 3rd to August 16th, I’ll be participating in Story Embers’ Support the Writing Community Challenge. (Use the link to visit their website to learn more and join in.) #SupportTheWritingCommunityChallenge
Let’s talk indie authors.
The term indie author generally refers to self-publishers—some of whom create their own publishing imprint. Sometimes it also includes authors published by small presses. I’ve come to view it as both.
Most of the books I feature on this blog are clean stories for children and teens written by indies. (You can find a list of the books here.) But for this post, I wanted to feature a few indie authors I’d never mentioned before, ones who write clean stories for adult readers—including an upcoming author to watch for!
Lee James
Lee James’s debut book, Azriel, releases sometime this fall. I had the pleasure of beta reading her story last year. It’s a Christian fantasy with strong characters and this empowering sense of belonging through faith, legacy, and purpose.

Paul Regnier
Paul Regnier is the author of several Christian speculative fictions books, including the Paranormia series. He’s known for writing fun and entertaining stories.

Richard Spillman
Richard Spillman writes Christian fiction and non-fiction. His series, The Lazarus Chronicles, is a thrilling speculative fiction tale with characters and settings across the world.

Who are your favorite indie authors?
