You may have noticed I didn’t post yesterday. Even though I’ve been a monthly supporter of Havok since February, I wanted to stretch a little further and support someone else for this challenge. As I mentioned in my first two posts, I chose to support Little Lamb’s Kickstarter for some much need funds and the deadline was August 4th. Unfortunately, they didn’t reach their goal. But I still wanted to support Little Lamb, so instead I bought books directly from them.
But donating isn’t the only way to support needs within the writing community (and the world). You can also pray.
Prayers are powerful. They connect us with God, and through them He opens our hearts to others. With so much going on in the world, we need more prayer. Even if you aren’t participating in the community challenge, I hope you’ll join me as I pray for writers.
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are the Creator of all, the Author of our stories. Thank you for your love and your grace—blessings we do not deserve but that you give so freely. Our world is facing many uncertainties and challenges. Please show us the blessings that surround us. Fill our hearts with peace and joy and grace for others, so that our words—the words of writers everywhere—will shine the light of your love and truth into every corner, and bring healing into our world.
